Life beyond Push Loops

I submitted a post a couple of weeks back on a great session at Lyall Bay where we tested the Fanatic new Wave Twin. Dave McPhee finally got the whole roll of film onto the wildwinds website. The slideshow below shows all the shots in sequence , and includes Troy Purcell (red Sail NZL 59) and myself (gold with silver helmet NZL727). I was really nailing my push loops this day , and Dave got a couple of great sequences including some really tweaked looking ones.

Talking of push loops, I just love doing them. Preferably off big steep sucky waves. But I will crank them off anything I can get. However, I think I have almost overdone them and need to start working on something new to mix things up and get excited about. I am contemplating getting stuck into super tweaked table tops, work on my back loops, crazy Petes maybe, and monster high vulcans.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

If you want the full Flickr experience check these pictures out on the wildwinds website.

The crazy petes are pretty damn easy... I'd say, go for the backies and then start creeping into the one handers. Or even more fun, work on some meaty stalled forwards. You got the repertoire base down solid mate...
